Tillandsia Caput-Medusae (Air Plant)

Tillandsia or Air Plant Caput-Medusae is a botanically unique species originating from Mexico–Honduras. It features pseudobulb base, twisting silver-green leaves, creating a characteristic structure that makes it instantly recognizable. Its coloration shifts with light exposure due to trichome density, allowing tones ranging from bright green to silvery or reddish hues. When blooming, it produces red spike with violet petals, adding vibrant ornamental value. As an epiphyte, its morphology—including leaf rigidity, water storage capacity, and trichome patterns—reflects evolution in challenging environments. For care, it thrives in medium light, frequent airflow, benefits from strong airflow, and prefers warm temperatures.
